Simon Bird, programme director

Simon joined the King's Fund in 2007 from a career in the NHS and private sector consultancy. In addition to working with the Foundation Trust Governors' Association, he works on a number of projects across the leadership and policy teams at the King's Fund. He is leading on the development of the learning website for the Association, as well as the development of opportunities for knowledge exchange and learning between governors and foundation trusts.
Katy Steward, programme director

Katy joined the King's Fund from Monitor where she worked on governance policy and worked closely on the governance code for foundation trusts. Katy established the Foundation Trust Governors' Association as part of her work at the King's Fund to identify ways to support and strengthen boards and their governance. Katy is also director of the Board Leadership Programme for chairs and non-executive directors in the London region.
Stacey Lally, network co-ordinator

Stacey joined the King's Fund in 2005 and worked on a broad range of leadership development programmes before her appointment as network co-ordinator for the Foundation Trust Governors' Association. Her role is to act as the main point of contact for governors and provide support to the executive committee. Along with researching and providing up-to-date information and content for the Association's website, she manages and maintains the contact database. She also plays an active role in marketing the Association.
