Our news service keeps members of the Foundation Trust Governors' Association up to date on emerging governance and foundation trust developments and resources. We add about two news items a week on the website, and provide a monthly email newsletter for all members.

New tool on the NHS website allows patients to rate the service they receive in hospitals

From today patients will be able to rate the service they receive in hospitals using a new tool on the NHS website. This new tool will empower patients to directly influence the quality of care they receive. NHS Choices will be issuing each trust in England with a guide on how to make the best use of patient comments, by encouraging as many people as possible to leave feedback online.

The King's Fund response to the Queen's speech

The NHS reform bill was outlined yesterday in the Queen's Speech. The bill will introduce measures to improve the quality of health care and public health as well as creating a duty to take account of the new NHS Constitution.
